How brands see a micro-influencer
Brands do not scroll a feed of creators. They filter a search index and then read a card. Understanding the filters tells you which parts of your profile decide whether you are shown at all.
| Brand filter | What it is | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Followers | Nano 100 to 10k, Micro 10k to 100k, Macro 100k to 1m, Mega over 1m, or a custom range | Your connected account, refreshed monthly on Instagram and when you tap Sync |
| Quality | Great, Good or OK | A rating shown on your card. Brands filter on it |
| Category | The categories you picked | Niche step of the media kit, one to ten |
| Hashtag | Hashtags your audience follows | Niche step. Optional, and only matched if you saved some |
| Location, language, gender | Where you are, what you speak, who you are | Media kit step 1 and your audience locations |
| Budget | A rough estimate of your fee | Shown on your card as an estimate |
| Address ready to ship | Creators a gifting brand can post to | A saved shipping address |
| Open to commission | Creators for affiliate programs | Used when a brand is recruiting for an affiliate campaign |
- The wizard that brands use to write a campaign has its own size buckets: Nano 5k to 10k, Micro 10k to 100k, Macro 100k to 1m and Mega over 1m. A campaign aimed at Micro therefore includes everyone from 10k to 100k.
- Reviewers cite a 5,000 follower minimum more than any other reason when they turn an account down, so a creator at 10k or above is comfortably past it.
- Only Active accounts appear in brand search. Draft, pending, suspended and archived accounts are left out, and so is any account without a linked profile and an email.
- Brands who search for a specific campaign do not see creators they already invited or who already sent an offer to it.
Quality score and engagement rate are also among the reasons our team lists when it suspends an account, and brand search cards show engagement alongside followers.
Make your profile do the searching for you
Each field in the media kit feeds either a filter or the card a brand reads before answering an offer. The fields worth the most effort are the ones brands cannot guess.
| Field | Do this | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Categories | Pick the ones that describe what you actually post, up to ten, rather than all ten | Brands filter on them, and campaigns are matched to your categories in Explore |
| Hashtags | Add the tags your audience really follows | They are optional, but saving the step with none removes any you saved before and stops you matching those tags |
| Audience | Name up to three locations, describe topics and followers in your own words, and add a current insights screenshot | A brand sees this before paying, and an insights screenshot is required |
| Showcase | Up to ten photos, plus past collaborations as an Instagram link or upload | Shows what a finished post of yours looks like |
| Shipping address | Add it, even if you only want paid work | It unlocks the Address ready to ship filter, so gifting brands can find you |
| Bio | 20 to 700 characters, with no contact details | Contact information in a bio is blocked |
Keep your numbers current
- Instagram accounts are refreshed automatically once a month: followers, following, post count, picture and your latest ten posts. A full run takes days, so tap Sync (once every 24 hours) after a growth spike or a good post.
- YouTube syncs use your Google permission, and the app asks you to wait five minutes between syncs. If the permission was withdrawn, reconnect the channel.
- If a monthly run cannot find your profile, the account is archived and drops out of search. A rename causes it too. Tell support before you rename a handle, because only an admin restores an archived account.
- Your insights are saved on your profile and every brand that asks sees the latest set. When they are older than 60 days, the system may ask you for fresh ones about an hour after an offer, so refresh them before that.
Share your media kit outside the app
Every connected account has a public page at app.ainfluencer.com/public/profile followed by your account number. Use Share on the account card. It lists your audience, gallery, delivered content, reviews and the brands you worked with, and it counts a profile view for every visit. It is cached for up to 12 hours, so edits are not instant. Each platform account has its own link, and the page also lists your other connected accounts.
The setup steps themselves are in How to Join and Get Approved.
Price a deal so the numbers work
You propose the price, the brand accepts by paying it, and what you keep depends on three things: the price, how long the post stays up, and the fee taken at withdrawal.
| What you charge | Ainfluencer fee at 20% | What you receive |
|---|---|---|
| $50 | $10 | $40 |
| $100 | $20 | $80 |
| $250 | $50 | $200 |
| $500 | $100 | $400 |
The brand pays a separate platform fee on top of your price, so it never comes out of yours. The 20% is shown on the withdrawal screen before you confirm, it is frozen onto the request when you send it, and balances from before August 2025 are withdrawn with no fee. The offer card in chat estimates 80% of the price. Money moving through PayPal or a blockchain may carry that service’s own charges as well.
What belongs in the price
| Part of the deal | How it works | Price it in |
|---|---|---|
| Duration | You choose a number of hours, days, weeks or months, minimum four hours, or leave it permanent | Permanent placement is worth more than a post you delete after a week |
| Delivery date | The form starts two weeks out and warns under 14 days. Creators usually set four to six weeks | A short deadline is extra work |
| Bio link | Some campaigns require a link in your bio | It occupies your bio while the deal runs |
| Shipping a product | A brand may ship you a product, and your saved address can be sent as an address card in the chat | Decide whether the product is part of the fee |
| Usage rights | Not part of the offer record, which holds price, date, duration and bio link | Agree reuse in the chat before the brand pays |
| Revisions | The brand can request up to two changes after paying. You accept or reject | For a higher price the brand pays the difference first, and the extra goes into escrow only if you accept |
- The minimum offer is $10, and the form shows a suggested price for your account.
- The brand can counter with a different price, date, duration or bio link. You can accept, edit or reject, and either side can reopen a rejected offer.
- A coupon or platform credit the brand uses never reduces your price. Ainfluencer pays the discount.
- If your price is not the full story, ask in the chat before you send. Commission rates on affiliate campaigns cannot be negotiated in the app, only discussed with the brand.
Work out your floor before you open the form: the amount you need to receive, divided by 0.8. That is the price to enter.
Read a campaign before you offer
You only get one offer per campaign, so the few minutes you spend on the details page are the cheapest time in the whole deal.
| Part of the page | What to check |
|---|---|
| Brief and deliverables | What exactly you must post, on which platform and in which format |
| Promotional details | How long the post must stay up, whether a link goes in your bio, and whether a product is shipped |
| Requirements | Country, category, gender, engagement and language. Campaigns limited to other countries or platforms are already hidden from you |
| Published content | Posts other creators already delivered for this campaign, which show the standard the brand expects |
| The main button | Make an Offer, Accept Invitation if the brand invited you, or View offer if you already sent one |
- Before the form opens, the app checks in order: maintenance, whether your account is suspended or archived, whether you have a usable account, and whether a draft account needs finishing. A draft account sees a Complete profile prompt that returns you to the next media kit step.
- The brand’s profile lists its campaigns by type and its ongoing offers. Invite-only or paused campaigns show a restriction message instead of a form.
- The three dot menu lets you Report a campaign or Block the brand. Blocking removes the brand’s campaigns from your lists, and there is no unblock button.
- If a campaign you can see on a brand’s profile is missing from Explore, it is probably invite-only, paused, limited to another country or aimed at another platform.
- A campaign from a brand that is suspended, or one the brand paused, no longer takes offers.
Pitch so the right brands answer
You get one offer per campaign. Make it specific, because a brand reads a short pitch, your audience description and your past work, and nothing else.
| Field | Limit | What to put in it |
|---|---|---|
| Your pitch | 50 to 250 characters | The exact content you will make, and why it suits their product |
| Topics you post about | 50 to 250 characters | Your real niche in words, not a hashtag list |
| Your audience | 50 to 250 characters | Who follows you and where, based on your insights |
| Collab types | At least one | Posts, stories, reels, video, content only |
| Portfolio | Screenshots and past work | Your best two or three, not all of them |
- Use the Invited to tab first. A brand that invited you has already chosen you. Invitations arrive twice a day, at 06:00 and 18:00 UTC, in one grouped email and a push.
- An offer started from an invitation link in an email skips the campaign’s gender and location requirements. Offers started from inside the app go through them.
- On other tabs, work through My category, My country and For You before All. Campaigns that suit your account rank first.
- Your answers are saved and prefill your next offer, so spend the time once and edit it per brand.
- Contact details, links and handles are blocked in every text field. Describe your work in words.
- If your account is still pending, send offers anyway. They are held and delivered when you become Active.
- A brand that blocked you cannot receive offers from you, and you can block or report a brand from the campaign’s menu.
Do not stack offers on a campaign you do not fit. If your gender or location does not meet the campaign’s requirements you cannot offer unless the brand invites you. A deleted offer also cannot be replaced.
The Explore tabs and the offer form are covered step by step in How to Find Campaigns and Send Offers.
Stack three kinds of income
Paid deals, free products and commission pay at different speeds and through different systems, so a creator can run all three without them colliding.
| Paid collaboration | Gifting | Affiliate | |
|---|---|---|---|
| You are paid | A price you set | A product, no money | A percentage of each sale |
| Held for you | The full price, in escrow | Nothing | Nothing |
| Paid out by | Our finance team, to PayPal or USDT or USDC | Not applicable | Stripe, to your bank |
| Speed | On approval, then one to two weeks to withdraw | When the parcel arrives | About five to seven weeks from the sale |
| If it does not happen | You are paid for delivering | You keep the product | You earn nothing |
| Account needed | Pending or Active | Active, selected in the app | Active, selected in the app |
- Paid: your wallet shows the full price, and the fee is taken only when you withdraw.
- Gifting: request the gift or accept an invitation, add an address, confirm receipt, post and submit the links. Open requests are cancelled by the system if you are suspended with no other Active account.
- Affiliate: Generate Link creates links for every product in the campaign. Your partnership is approved automatically, and each sale waits 35 days before the brand’s card is charged and your share goes to your Stripe account. A platform fee of 5% comes out of the commission by default.
- A product can sit in only one of your campaigns at a time. If you join a newer campaign with the same product, it moves there and your link stays the same.
- Connect Stripe before you promote anything: no Stripe account means no affiliate payment. Its country follows the phone number you verified on the Affiliate platform and cannot be changed later.
- Affiliate money never appears in your Ainfluencer wallet, so check both places before you decide you have not been paid.
Details are in How Gifting Works for Creators and How Affiliate Campaigns Work for You.
Turn one deal into repeat work
The strongest signal a brand reads is what other brands said and whether you delivered. Both are built by the way you run each deal.
Deliver on the date
The deal card counts down to your publish date and reminds you 72, 24, 12, 6 and 3 hours before. If you need longer, use Extend Deadline once, before the date passes.
Submit the direct link
Use Share then Copy link on the post itself. Profile links and stories are refused or unreadable, and a readable link also gives the brand more time to approve.
Message for the approval
Nothing approves a delivery by itself. If it is not approved, the deal fails and the brand is refunded roughly nine to ten days after a readable link is submitted. Ask them in the chat.
Collect the review
After a deal the brand can rate your performance, communication and keeping the agreed terms, and write a public review. Our team approves it first, and an approved review appears on your profile with the average of the three ratings.
Your trust score
A trust metric is recalculated on the 1st and the 16th of each month from offers, deliveries and reviews.
Brands you worked with
Content you delivered through Ainfluencer and the brands you partnered with appear on your public media kit.
- A brand’s private answer to would you work with them again? is never shown to you or published, so it is not something you can chase.
- If a review breaks the rules, send the details to support. Our team decides.
- A deal you delivered can reach the brand’s analytics only after it is approved, so approval also helps the brand see the results of working with you.
Run more than one account
One login can hold several Instagram, TikTok and YouTube accounts. They share a wallet and nothing else.
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| How many accounts? | More than one of each is allowed. A YouTube login with several channels lets you pick, and each becomes its own account |
| Does each have its own status? | Yes: Draft, Pending, Active, suspended or archived, each shown on its own card |
| Which one do I act with? | The account selected at the top of Explore and the Inbox. Offers, gift requests and affiliate links check it |
| Where does the money go? | All paid collaboration earnings go to the one wallet |
| Can another user have my account? | No. One social account belongs to one Ainfluencer login. Contact support with both emails if it is already used |
| Can I remove an account? | Not in the app. Ask support |
- Gift requests and affiliate links need the selected account to be Active. If your best account is pending, switch to the Active one first.
- A suspension on one account does not stop the others. Gifting requests are cancelled only when you have no other Active account.
- Each account has its own media kit, so tune each one to its platform’s audience.
Run your inbox like a working day
Every deal has a chat, and each chat is a thread inside a room for that brand. The tools in the Inbox are what keep a busy week organised.
| Thread type | Created when | Shown as |
|---|---|---|
| Paid offer | You send the offer | UGC Collab, with the offer status |
| Affiliate | The first message from either side | Affiliate |
| Gifting | The first message, or when an address card is sent | Gifting, with the gifting stage |
- Filter the Inbox by status: Paid & Scheduled, Waiting Your Approval, Waiting Brand Approval, Published and Failed.
- Pin up to five rooms, and archive or unarchive a thread for your own view. This does not change what the brand sees.
- Save message templates for answers you send often, such as your usage rights or delivery schedule.
- Send a saved shipping address as an address card with the location pin. Set it once and use it with every brand.
- Attach files up to 50 MB from your phone. Videos in the chat show a still frame, and tapping opens the preview.
- You can react to a brand’s message with an emoji. Long messages are split automatically.
- A chat becomes read-only when the brand archived, deleted or blocked the offer, or when your own account is not Active. Unarchiving or reactivation restores it.
- Messages cannot be edited, deleted or searched yet, so reread before you send.
Choose what reaches you
In Account Settings, Notifications and Emails each category has an Email and a Push switch: campaign invitations, offer notifications, post publishing and deal updates, payments and wallet, admin requests, marketing, gifting campaigns and chat messages. On mobile the Push switch controls both phone push and the in-app list, and account notifications cannot be switched off. The Unsubscribe link in an email stops most emails at once and only staff can undo it, so prefer the switches.
Every Monday at 08:00 UTC you also get one email of new campaigns for you, despite the word daily in its subject, and invitation emails arrive at 06:00 and 18:00 UTC.
Plan your cash flow
Money moves in three separate waits. Knowing which one you are in saves you from chasing the wrong person.
| Wait | How long | Who can move it |
|---|---|---|
| Brand approval | Up to about nine to ten days, and nothing moves it automatically | The brand, or our team |
| Approval to wallet | About a minute | Automatic |
| Withdrawal to your account | Our finance team pays by hand around the 1st and the 15th, then up to five business days. Plan on one to two weeks | Our finance team |
- Time your withdrawal request just before the 1st or the 15th. A request on the 2nd waits for the 15th.
- You pick the deals to include, and one request is created per deal. There is no minimum amount, so small payouts are fine.
- A rejected request keeps the money in your wallet and puts the deal back in your list.
- You cannot cancel a request in the app. Ask support to have it rejected, which is also the fix for a wrong address on a request already sent.
- Keep one PayPal and one crypto method. Saving replaces the old one, and requests already sent keep the address they were sent with.
- A deal that shows Refunded Payment went back to the brand because it was not delivered or approved in time.
The detail is in How You Get Paid.
Protect the account you built
An account with real reach is worth more than any single deal. A few rules protect it.
| Do not | Why |
|---|---|
| Share contact details or ask to be paid outside Ainfluencer | They are hidden until payment, a nightly check reviews unpaid offer chats, and our team can send a Violation Notice. This is the most common reason for a suspension |
| Buy followers | It shows at review and is rejected under the guidelines |
| Rename a handle without telling support | A rename archives the account and removes it from search |
| Re-save your profile without checking the status | Re-saving the last media kit step can send an Active account back to review. Offers still work while it is pending |
| Miss a deadline silently | The brand is refunded and you are unpaid |
- A temporary suspension has no end date. Tap Appeal Suspension, give your reason, watch the dos and don’ts and submit. You get one appeal per suspension, and a denied appeal is shown on the card with no notification.
- While suspended you cannot make offers, chat, or edit your profile, your offers are hidden from brands after 48 hours, and open gift requests can be cancelled for good.
- You can control emails and push in Account Settings, Notifications and Emails, per category. Account notifications are always on.
Questions micro-influencers ask
Do I need a large following?
No. Brands filter from 100 followers upward, and Micro sits at 10k to 100k. Reviewers most often decline accounts under about 5,000, so that is the practical floor to be approved.
How do brands find me?
Through search filters on followers, quality, category, hashtags, language, gender and location, and by inviting you to a campaign. Only Active accounts appear.
Why are my follower numbers out of date?
Instagram refreshes monthly. Tap Sync on your account card, once every 24 hours, to refresh now.
What should I charge?
The form shows a suggested price, and the minimum is $10. Decide the amount you need to receive, then divide by 0.8 to allow for the 20% fee at withdrawal.
Can I do paid deals and affiliate at the same time?
Yes. They run on different systems and pay separately: collaborations into your wallet, and affiliate commission through Stripe.
The brand has not approved my post.
Message them in the deal chat, because an unapproved deal ends in a refund to the brand roughly nine to ten days after a readable link is submitted.
Can brands see my insights?
Yes. Insights you upload are saved on your profile, and any brand that requests them sees the latest set.
How do I get reviews?
Deliver on time and communicate clearly. Brands can write a review after a deal, and our team approves it before it appears on your profile.
From a profile brands can find to repeat income
