How to Pay for an Offer
Every line on the checkout, where your money actually goes, and what changes the moment it clears.
What this guide covers
Before the checkout even opens
Ainfluencer checks the delivery date before it will take your money, because a date that has already passed, or one that is hours away, produces a deal the creator cannot possibly deliver.
When you click Pay, one of three things happens:
| The agreed date | What you see | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| More than 24 hours away | The checkout opens straight away | Nothing |
| Less than 24 hours away | A pop-up, Update Date & Make Payment | Pick a later date and click Update & Pay |
| Already passed | A pop-up, Update Date and Make Payment | The date must move before you can pay |
The new date has to be at least about 24 hours ahead. The message is blunt about why: You can’t expect influencers to publish your content today. Agree the new date in the chat first, so the creator is not surprised by a date they never saw.
The checkout, line by line
The checkout is headed Pay safely with Escrow. Nothing reaches the creator here. Your money moves into escrow and stays there until you approve the delivery.
Every line that can appear on the checkout. Insurance, the coupon and the wallet line only show when they apply.
The tooltip How your total is calculated lists the same six lines:
Offer price
What you and the creator agreed. The minimum on the platform is $10, and a large share of deals sit exactly there.
Platform fee
Charged on top of the price, at the rate for your plan. See the next stop.
Insurance
Optional, and only worth it when you are shipping something physical. Stop 4.
Discount
One coupon per order. It comes off the total.
Wallet credit
Your existing balance, used before your card is charged.
Total due
What actually leaves your card or your wallet today.
An offer checkout expires after 30 minutes. If you leave it open and come back later, start again from the Pay button rather than resubmitting the old page.
The platform fee, and why it may be new to you
The fee is added on top of the agreed price. It never comes out of what the creator receives, so the figure you negotiated is the figure they see.
| Your plan | Fee | A $200 deal costs you |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 25% | $250 |
| Starter | 20% | $240 |
| Pro | 15% | $230 |
| Ultimate | 3% | $206 |
If you ran campaigns here before and do not remember this line, you are not misremembering. The collaboration fee has only been charged since May 2026. Every paid order before that month carried no platform fee at all, and every paid order since carries one.
Work out your own crossover before upgrading for the fee alone. The gap between Free and Pro is ten points, so about $1,500 a month of creator spend saves roughly $150, which is most of the Pro subscription. Below that, Free is genuinely cheaper.
Insurance, only if something physical is in the post
Insurance is bought here, per offer, not on the campaign. If you are looking for a campaign-level switch, there isn’t one.
Toggle it on and enter the value of the product you are shipping. The fee is calculated from that figure rather than from the deal price, and it is not part of what the platform fee is charged on.
| Cost | 10% of the product value you enter |
| Covers | The product not being returned, and no-show creators |
| Worth it when | You ship something physical to a creator you have not worked with before |
| Not worth it when | The collaboration is digital. There is nothing to lose but the fee, which the automatic refund already returns |
| If the deal is refunded | The insurance fee is not returned, the same as the platform fee |
Claims are reviewed by our finance team rather than paid automatically. If you need to claim, contact support with the offer link, the shipping tracking and the date, all in one message.
Coupons and paying from your wallet
Both reduce what your card is charged today, and they behave differently if the deal later falls apart.
One coupon per order
Enter it under Have a coupon?. You cannot stack two.
The creator still gets the full price
Ainfluencer covers the coupon’s share, so a discount on your side never reduces their fee.
Pay from wallet
Uses your balance first, promotional credit before cash, then charges the remainder.
On a refund
The price returns to your wallet. The coupon and credit share goes back to Ainfluencer, not to you.
Because promotional credit is always spent first, a balance that looks like your money may partly be credit that can never be returned or withdrawn. Payments & Billing shows Credits Received separately.
Choosing how to pay
Four methods, and two of them credit your wallet immediately while two depend on you coming back to Ainfluencer after paying.
| Method | What it covers | Reliability |
|---|---|---|
| Stripe | Apple Pay, Google Pay, cards, and bank verification handled properly | Confirmed directly to our servers |
| Credit Card | A saved card, or a new one | Charged immediately |
| PayPal | Your PayPal balance or linked funding | Credited only when you land back on our result page |
| Crypto | Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, USDT, USDC | Same, and worse if the transaction is still confirming |
If you are topping up rather than paying an offer, prefer Stripe or a saved card. PayPal and crypto have no server-to-server confirmation, so closing the tab too early means the money leaves your account and the balance never moves. If that happens, do not pay again: send support the tracking code, the amount and the time.
What happens the moment the payment clears
Five things happen at once, and two of them are easy to miss.
Your money sits with Ainfluencer until you approve. It only ever goes forward to the creator or back to you.
The money goes into escrow
Specifically into the creator’s locked wallet, where they cannot touch it.
The deal becomes Paid and Scheduled
The creator is notified by email and push, and can now start work. Before this point they should not have.
A delivery record is created
Dated to the agreed publish date, which is what every later timer counts from.
The creator’s handle is revealed to you
Free, permanently, and across every account they have. No reveal credit is used.
Contact sharing unlocks in the chat
Addresses, emails and phone numbers stop being hidden, which is why shipping details come after payment, not before.
When the payment does not go through
Three failures look identical from the outside and have different fixes.
| What you see | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Additional verification required | Your bank wants 3-D Secure, which our own card form cannot complete | Use the Stripe option instead |
| Payment could not be processed | Your bank declined it. International platform charges are a common block | Try another card or PayPal, or call your bank |
| Payment gateway unavailable | That method is switched off at our end, not a problem with your card | Pick a different method. All four buttons stay visible even when one is off |
| You currently do not have enough funds | You are approving a deal that was already refunded, which charges your wallet again | Add funds, then approve |
If the charge appears on your statement but the deal still says Waiting Payment, do not pay again. Send support the amount, the date and the last four digits of the card, and the payment can be traced and applied.
The whole flow, start to finish
From agreeing a price to the money leaving escrow.
