Use Case Guide · For Food and Drink Brands

Ainfluencer for Food and Drink Brands

Food is eaten and sent again, so the Monthly gifting cadence matters, and the Food branch also holds baby food and pet food creators. This guide covers the nine categories, the cadence settings that do and do not act, and the shipping settings.

Stop 1

The Food, Drinks and Dining branch

Nine categories sit in one branch, and the branch holds about 19,400 creator accounts in total. Some of them are about eating out rather than packaged products.

CategoryCreator accounts, roundedNotes
Food9,600The broadest food category
Drinks6,000Beverage creators
Dining5,100About eating out, so a weak match for a packaged product
Nutrition3,500Nutrition also exists under Fitness, Health and Wellness
Snacks2,800A close match for packaged snacks
Grocery and Gourmet Foods1,700Shelf products
Vegetables900Produce
Pet Foods700Where pet food creators are tagged
Baby Foods700Where baby food creators are tagged
  • Counts are accounts that picked the category, including some still in review, so search shows fewer.
  • The groups overlap because one creator can pick several categories.
  • Pet food and baby food belong here, not under Pets or Kids.
Stop 2

A product that gets eaten gets sent again

The gifting wizard offers two cadences, and food is the case that uses the second one.

CadenceFieldsUse it for
One-timeTotal units to ship and total program valueA launch or a single tasting
MonthlyUnits per month, an optional monthly value cap, roll over unused units, pause when stock runs low, and a monthly summary emailA subscription box, a seasonal range or a regular drop
  • A start date is required. An end date is optional, and a program with no end date never expires.
  • Total units, units a month, the value cap, roll over, pause when stock is low and the monthly summary are stored but nothing acts on them. Count units yourself.
  • The system will not stop requests when your unit count is reached. Close the program, or set an end date.
  • Limit one product per creator per quarter if you do not want the same creator to ask again.

Ship from, ship to and the parcel

You ship the food yourself, from one country, to the countries you choose.

SettingWhat it does
Ship fromOne country, matching your Shopify or Amazon address
Ship toCreators living in these countries are matched. Creators elsewhere cannot request
Brand covers all shipping costsA switch that tells creators you pay postage
Send tracking notificationsStored, but not connected to a tracking provider
  • The creator picks an address in the app. The address can change until you mark the card Shipped, then it locks.
  • If a parcel goes to the wrong place, sort it out with the creator in the Ainfluencer chat.
  • Share the tracking number in the chat, since gifting has no tracking of its own.
  • Rules for shipping food, drinks and perishables differ by country and carrier. Ainfluencer does not check them, so confirm yours before you list a country.
Stop 5

The gifting board for a repeat program

A repeat program lives on the board, so keep its columns tidy.

  • Export downloads a CSV of everyone except open requests, which helps you count units against a monthly plan.
  • Changing the products of a live program sends it back to review. Plan your range before you launch.
  • A gifting program has no pause switch. Ask our team to pause it, or set an end date.

What a paid deal costs, in numbers

When a creator is worth a fee, the platform fee goes on top. Here is a $50 offer on each plan.

Free25%, $12.50$62.50
Starter20%, $10$60
Pro15%, $7.50$57.50
Ultimate3%, $1.50$51.50
  • The minimum offer is $10. Gifting charges no fee.
  • The money is held in escrow and released only when you approve.

Questions food and drink brands ask

Where is baby food?

Under Food, in Baby Foods. Search Motherhood for the buyer.

Where is pet food?

Under Food, in Pet Foods, with Dogs and Cats under Animals / Pets.

Can I send a monthly box?

Yes, with the Monthly cadence. Count units yourself because the system does not stop requests.

Do you check food shipping rules?

No. Check your carrier and the rules of each country.

Why is Dining not a good fit?

It is the category for eating out. For a packaged product, search Food, Snacks or Drinks.
