Ainfluencer for Pet Brands
Pet creators are a small pool spread over two branches of the category tree, and dogs outnumber cats about four to one. This guide shows where to search, how to spend reveals and invites, and which route fits a product that gets used up.

Where pet creators sit in the category tree
Creators choose categories in their media kit, and brands search by them. Pet products sit in two places, so a pet brand searches both.
| Branch | Category | Creator accounts, rounded |
|---|---|---|
| Animals / Pets | Dogs | 4,200 |
| Animals / Pets | Pets / Animals | 1,000 |
| Animals / Pets | Cats | 900 |
| Animals / Pets | Pets | 600 |
| Animals / Pets | Animals | 500 |
| Animals / Pets | Pet Supplies | 400 |
| Animals / Pets | Wild Life and Exotic Animals | 300 together |
| Food / Drinks / Dining | Pet Foods | 700 |
- The whole Animals / Pets branch holds about 6,300 creator accounts. That is one of the smallest pools on the platform.
- Dogs outnumber Cats by about four to one. A cat brand has the smallest pool of all.
- Pet food creators are tagged under Food, in Pet Foods. Pet Supplies is its own small category.
- Counts are accounts that picked the category, including some still in review. Search shows only active accounts, so expect fewer.
Plan for a small pool
When the pool is small, every reveal and every invite matters, so spend them on the right creators.
| Limit | Free | Starter | Pro | Ultimate |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Username reveals a month | 5 | 50 | 100 | 6,000 |
| Creator invitations a month | 5 | 50 | 500 | 50,000 |
- A reveal is permanent for that creator, and hiring a creator reveals them for free.
- You can pay for a reveal from the wallet when credits run out, so a thin month does not stop you.
- Search the Dogs category and the Pets / Animals category separately, and do the same for Pet Foods if you sell food.
- Save good matches to a list as you go. A small pool is easy to exhaust in one search.
Filters that matter when creators are few
Use filters to remove noise rather than to narrow a pool that is already small.
| Filter | How to use it for pets |
|---|---|
| Categories | Pick Dogs, Cats, Pet Supplies or Pet Foods first. Add a second search for the neighbouring category |
| Quality | Great, Good or OK. Start broad because the pool is small |
| Followers | Nano 100 to 10k and Micro 10k to 100k cover most pet creators |
| Location and language | Match the countries you ship to |
| Address ready to ship | Appears on gifting campaigns and shows who already saved an address |
| Open to commission | Appears on affiliate campaigns and shows who accepts a commission |
- The fee estimate is rough. Use it to avoid creators far over budget, not to set a price.
- Creators you have already invited to a campaign are left out of that campaign’s results.
Pick the route for a product that gets used up
Treats, food and toys are used and replaced, which suits a commission or a small free product more than a large fee.
| Route | Fit for a pet brand |
|---|---|
| Gifting | A free product and no fee. The creator posts after it arrives. Plan access starts at Starter |
| Affiliate | Commission on sales through tracked links, with products from your Amazon or Shopify store |
| Paid collaboration | A fixed fee for a post. Needs payment into escrow before the creator starts |
- Gifting lets you limit one product per creator per quarter, which keeps a small pool from being over-served.
- The gifting wizard has a disclosure option and a tagging option. Switch on both if you want clear labelling.
- Affiliate campaigns skip the manual review and go live when products are assigned.
See How to Run a Gifting Campaign and How to Run an Affiliate Program.
Shipping pet products
You ship the product yourself. Ainfluencer does not buy labels or hold stock.
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Ship from | One country, matching your Shopify or Amazon address |
| Ship to | The countries you serve. Only creators there are matched |
| Brand covers shipping | A switch that tells creators you pay postage |
| Address card | A chat card with a Copy address button for the label |
- The creator picks an address in the app before asking for the gift, and can change it until you mark the card Shipped.
- There is no tracking integration for gifting. Post the tracking number in the chat.
- The creator confirms receipt, posts, and then tells you with the links.
Briefing a creator whose audience owns the animal
A brief for pet content works best when it says what the creator should show, not just what to say.
| Brief field | Suggestion |
|---|---|
| What influencers do | Choose post existing content, create and publish, or only create content |
| Platforms and post types | Instagram Feed, Story or Reel, TikTok Video, YouTube Video |
| Bio link | Switch it on if you want the creator to add your product link |
| Post duration | Negotiate it per offer, or ask for permanent |
| Upload some content | Add up to ten images or videos of the product for creators to see |
- Describe the animal sizes or life stages the product suits in the description, so creators with the wrong animal can skip it.
- A campaign needs one uploaded file to be submitted. Every new paid campaign is reviewed by our team first.
Your campaign categories decide who sees it
Creators see campaigns through their own category choices, so the categories you tick are a targeting decision.
- The wizard asks for at least one campaign category. Hashtags are optional.
- In the creator app, Explore has a My category tab that shows campaigns in the creator’s own categories.
- Every week creators get an email of campaigns for them, ordered by brand score.
- For a dog treat, tick Dogs and Pet Foods. For a cat toy, tick Cats and Pet Supplies. Ticking all of them widens the audience and lowers the match.
- You can open a campaign to everyone or limit offers to invited creators only.
What a deal costs, in numbers
Paid collaborations add a platform fee on top of the creator’s price. Here is a $100 offer on each plan.
| Plan | Fee | You pay in total |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 25%, $25 | $125 |
| Starter | 20%, $20 | $120 |
| Pro | 15%, $15 | $115 |
| Ultimate | 3%, $3 | $103 |
- The creator receives the price less about 20% when they withdraw.
- The money is held in escrow and released when you approve. If nobody approves, it goes back to your wallet.
- The minimum offer is $10. Gifting charges no fee, and affiliate pays commission on sales.
Questions pet brands ask
Where do I find creators for dog food?
Search Pet Foods under Food, and Dogs under Animals / Pets. They are separate categories.
Is the pool big enough?
About 6,300 creator accounts picked a pet category, and 700 more picked Pet Foods. It is small, so use reveals and invites carefully.
Can I target cat owners only?
Yes, by the Cats category, which has roughly 900 accounts, fewer than a quarter of Dogs.
Can I send pet food abroad?
You choose Ship to countries in the wizard. Check your own carrier and import rules.
Do I have to pay to start?
No. A gifting program charges no fee, and an affiliate campaign pays commission on sales.
