Shopify Plus Agency: 16 Matched to the Project You Need Built in 2026

16 Shopify Plus agencies matched to six project types: B2B, checkout, multi-country, headless, ERP and plain upgrades, with the plan price and partner tiers.

Most Shopify stores should not be on Plus. The ones that should can usually say why in a single sentence: they sell wholesale, they run several storefronts, their checkout needs rules a theme cannot hold, or an ERP is choking on API limits. Each of those is a different job, and the agency that is good at one is often only average at the next.

So instead of a ranked list, this guide walks through six projects that tend to end up with a Shopify Plus agency. Under each one you will find the agencies that describe that exact work on their own websites. Whatever an agency says about itself is its own claim. We repeated the numbers and did not audit them.

What Is a Shopify Plus Agency and What Does It Do?

A Shopify Plus agency builds or runs stores for merchants on Shopify’s top plan. The work usually covers replatforming, theme and checkout development, custom apps and Functions, ERP and system integrations, conversion work and ongoing support. Its partner tier sits in Shopify’s own partner program, covered in the tiers section below. A Plus agency differs from a general Shopify agency mainly in what it can build: some of that work, such as custom Functions apps, runs only on Plus.

How Much Does Shopify Plus Cost Before You Hire an Agency?

Before any agency sends a quote, Shopify has already sent one. Shopify’s Plus plan help page prices the plan by term and billing currency.

Shopify Plus monthly price by term (Shopify’s Plus plan help page, read 4 November 2026)

Billing currency 1 year term 3 year term Twelve months on the 3 year term
USD$2,500$2,300$27,600
CAD$3,650$3,400$40,800
GBP£1,950£1,800£21,600
EUR€2,250€2,100€25,200

That page also says a variable platform fee may apply, based on your revenue and business model, and that it differs between B2B and D2C companies. No percentage is printed anywhere we looked, so treat any figure you see elsewhere as unsourced and ask Shopify for the number in writing. Shopify’s euro pricing page lists card rates of 1.3% on Plus and 1.4% on Advanced, and 0.2% against 0.6% for third-party payment gateways, which matters if most of your sales skip Shopify Payments.

Do You Need a Shopify Plus Agency, or Is Advanced Enough?

Run your project against what Shopify says Plus adds. Unlimited B2B catalogs, where the other plans stop at three. Custom apps that contain Shopify Functions. The CheckoutBranding API. Up to nine expansion stores. Up to 25 headless storefronts instead of one. A GraphQL Admin API restore rate of 1,000 points a second, against 100 as standard and 200 on Advanced. Unlimited staff accounts and 200 locations.

If none of that describes your project, stop here and keep the $27,600 a year. Ask Phill, an Amsterdam agency, goes further on its own site: it says Plus is not worth recommending below roughly 2.5 million euros of annual revenue when there are no custom requirements, and that such brands are better off on Advanced. That is one agency’s rule of thumb, not Shopify’s, but it is unusual to see a seller write it down.

Shopify Plus B2B Agencies

Shopify lists B2B on every plan from Basic up. What Plus adds is unlimited catalogs and direct assignment of catalogs to company locations. So a wholesaler with a handful of price lists can start cheaper, and one with hundreds of accounts on different terms cannot.

Human After All, in Montreal, is the most specific about scope. Its B2B Launch is a fixed package from C$20,000, paid half at signing and half at delivery, with a stated 4 to 6 weeks, for an existing Plus store. The package leaves out custom themes, headless, ERP links, custom apps, multiple storefronts and complex migrations, and the price climbs past 25 company accounts or a 5,000 SKU catalog. Its own page says a custom build suits you better when prices or stock must come live from an ERP, when buyers need approval chains or budgets, or when the workflow needs its own app. That sentence is a good test for any B2B quote you receive.

Avex Designs in New York describes blended stores and gated B2B stores, with Net 7 to Net 90 terms and company catalogs, and it publishes no prices. BlueSwitch sells a modular B2B suite for checkout, onboarding and ordering, though it gives its age as 20, 22 and 25 years on different pages. Kinex Media in Ontario lists account pricing, a pricing engine and links to NetSuite, SAP and Salesforce. Its FAQ prices, $35,000 to $70,000 or more for advanced ecommerce, are for general websites rather than B2B, and its client results are not tied to Plus. Netalico prints $75,000 to $200,000 or more for enterprise builds with custom checkout, ERP and B2B, though the figure sits mostly in the markup of its FAQ rather than in visible text.

Shopify Plus Checkout Extensibility and Functions Agencies

Two dates settled what a checkout agency must know. Shopify’s changelog set 13 August 2024 for moving the information, shipping and payment steps off checkout.liquid, and its enterprise blog says the file was sunset on 28 August 2025. Shopify Scripts could no longer be edited after 15 April 2026 and stopped running on 30 June 2026. Whatever replaced them is built with checkout extensibility and Functions, and custom Functions apps run only on Plus, as Shopify’s Function APIs documentation states. An agency still pitching checkout.liquid is describing a store that no longer exists.

Naturaily’s Plus page names checkout extensibility for upsells, custom fields and validation, and Functions for discounts, cart validation, and payment and delivery options, but it states no price, headquarters or partner tier. Webinopoly in Houston covers checkout UI, Functions, B2B and headless on a single page, and its $1,500 project starting price is a general Shopify floor, not a Plus figure. Netalico lists B2B pricing logic with Functions and a custom checkout. BlueSwitch has a post on Functions and checkout UI extensions, but it warns to upgrade before August 2024, so it reads as old advice. Minion Made lists payment and checkout optimisation among 36 sub-services without a process or timeline.

Shopify Plus Agencies for International Expansion and Multiple Stores

Plus allows up to nine expansion stores, which suits regional or brand storefronts that need their own catalogs and currencies. Shopify Markets is on every plan. What Plus adds on the Markets side is B2B markets, so wholesale prices can differ by region.

Ask Phill talks about multi-brand platforms and global flagship stores built for localisation, but its price bands differ between its home page and its development page. Naturaily says Carnium Botanicals consolidated onto one Plus platform and entered three new markets, a story told as nine stores on one page and twelve on others. Craftberry, a Bulgarian agency, claims Vivo entered three European markets in eight weeks and says Takomo Golf sells in more than 180 markets. It has no Plus page, since its Plus menu link points to its homepage, and it states a target of brands above $2 million in revenue. Avex Designs lists localisation, multi-currency pricing, taxes and fulfilment for cross-border growth, though its partner page says nothing about multiple stores.

Shopify Plus Headless Development Agencies (Hydrogen)

Hydrogen is Shopify’s headless toolkit, and Shopify says it can be deployed beyond its own hosting. Oxygen, its hosting for Hydrogen, is free on paid plans. Hydrogen itself does not require Plus. What Plus changes is the count of headless storefronts, up to 25 against one.

The most frank agencies in this group talk you out of it first. Ask Phill says to consider custom Liquid before going headless, and then prices Hydrogen storefronts from 200,000 euros on its home page. Naturaily says most stores do not need headless, and shows Nanobebe moving from Liquid to Next.js with a claimed 117% better performance. Webinopoly recommends it only when the case is proven first. FocusReactive, a Dutch-registered studio with offices in Amsterdam, London, Warsaw and New York, builds Hydrogen and Next.js sites with headless CMS tools, and Shopify is one of several platforms it works on. It publishes no price, only form bands from 5,000 to 100,000 euros and up, and it shows its Caleffi project as 5,613 SKUs on one page and more than 24,000 on another. Minion Made and Digital Operative list headless work but give no case detail. For Shopify’s own caution and the layer-by-layer picture, see our Shopify development agency guide.

Shopify Plus ERP Integration Agencies

A store with tens of thousands of variants syncing orders and stock with an ERP every few minutes hits rate limits first, and this is where Plus’s 1,000 points a second earns its price. Shopify also lets Plus stores ask support for more.

Human After All claims more than 40 ERP integrations shipped, using Patchworks, custom connectors or SuiteScript, and quotes 6 to 10 weeks for standard flows and 12 to 20 for custom middleware on SAP, NetSuite or Dynamics. Craftberry lists ERP, PIM and OMS work. Praella lists iPaaS and NetSuite links and offers a total cost conversation about moving to Plus, while its homepage claims 126% average growth and its services page 26% average lift, both unsourced. Digital Operative builds custom apps for ERP links and subscriptions and belongs to the marketing agency 85SIXTY. Kinex Media sells an integration service even though one page says ERP links work without custom development.

Shopify Plus Migration and Replatforming Agencies

Plenty of Plus projects are simply a good build on a bigger plan. Here the useful difference between agencies is how they run the work, because their specialisms barely differ.

Inspira Digital in the UK is the clearest about process: a free consultation, then a paid workshop of about 10 hours for simple stores and 25 to 45 or more for complex ones, then 1 to 2 week sprints. It shows only a Select badge and has no Plus page, though its case list is mostly Plus builds. Kubix Media in Birmingham replies within a business day, runs one to three discovery calls of 20 to 30 minutes and sends a written proposal. C2 Digital works only on Shopify and Plus, but its client counters disagree between pages (225 and 300 or more) and its budget floor is $1,500 on one page and $2,500 on another. Minion Made lists seven offices and gives no process, timeline or result. Digital Operative offers a four week marketing audit and sits beside a marketing arm. Craftberry quotes 8 to 16 weeks for a migration. Praella has a large client list and the thinnest evidence of the sixteen. If you are leaving another platform first, the Shopify migration agency guide covers what moves and what breaks.

How We Compared These Shopify Plus Agencies

We started from the agencies that recur in published Shopify Plus lists and read each one’s own site for services, process, prices, named clients and partner claims. Agencies that appeared in our earlier Shopify guides were left out unless they had a separate Plus page. The top-ranking lists are largely written by agencies that place themselves first, so appearing often on them is a weak signal. Icreon and Shero Commerce blocked automated reading and were skipped.

Shopify Plus Agency vs Freelancer vs In-House Team

A freelancer suits one defined task, such as a theme fix or a data import. An in-house developer gives you someone who knows the store every day, but one person rarely covers checkout, integrations and front end at once, and the work stops when they are away. A Plus agency suits projects that use Plus-only features across several skills. That is a judgment, not data. To compare these routes in detail, see how to hire a Shopify expert.

How to Choose a Shopify Plus Agency: What to Get in Writing

Ask which part of the project needs Plus, whether the agency can show one live checkout built with Functions, and what the quote leaves out, whether apps, QA, training or support. Check the partner tier against Shopify’s table below, ask for a Plus reference in your project type and agree who owns the code and the apps after launch.

Shopify Plus Agency Costs and Retainers

Most of the sixteen print no price at all. These do, and each figure covers something different:

  • Netalico: projects from $30,000 to $200,000 or more and retainers of $5,000 to $15,000 a month in its FAQ, while its retainer page lists tiers from $5,100 and also says plans start at $2,700.
  • Ask Phill: 20,000 to 60,000 euros for theme or no-code migrations, 50,000 to 200,000 for mid-market custom builds and 200,000 or more for enterprise, with slightly different bands on its development page and the Plus fee kept separate.
  • Human After All: from C$20,000 for the B2B Launch only.
  • Webinopoly: projects from $1,500, a general floor.
  • C2 Digital and FocusReactive: contact form budget bands, which are not minimums.

Add the platform fee to whichever you pick: $27,600 a year on the 3 year US term before apps, retainers or any variable fee.

How Long a Shopify Plus Project Takes

Shopify’s enterprise blog sets the average Plus build at three to four months from kickoff to launch, and agency figures run from 4 to 6 weeks for a native B2B launch to 12 to 24 weeks for a full migration. Ask Phill says 2 to 3 months for a no-code migration and 3 to 6 for a custom build, Netalico says most migrations take 12 to 24 weeks and Craftberry 8 to 16.

Shopify Plus Partner Tiers Explained

Only six of the sixteen link a Shopify partner profile page from their own sites: Netalico, Kubix Media, C2 Digital, Minion Made, Ask Phill and Kinex Media. The rest rely on a badge image or a sentence. Shopify’s Q4 2026 guide shows what the tiers measure. Select needs at least $100,000 in new referral revenue and one Plus merchant or ten on standard plans. Premier needs at least $2 million and four Plus merchants. Platinum needs at least $5 million in new referral revenue, $25 million in existing merchant revenue and six Plus or Enterprise merchants.

That is a measure of business attributed to the partner, not of skill at checkout work or B2B design. And the ladder itself is being replaced. From 1 January 2027, according to Shopify’s partner documentation, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond take over from Select, Plus and Premier. Silver needs $25,000 in attributed sales and one shop. Gold needs $5 million and five shops over four years, Platinum $50 million and 20, Diamond $500 million and 25.

Several claims also disagree with themselves. Human After All’s footer says Select Partner while its integration page says Plus Partner since 2014. Kubix Media says Platinum on its homepage and Premier elsewhere. Inspira shows Select beside a Plus-heavy case list. Check each agency in the directory yourself, using the steps in how to hire a Shopify expert. Shopify Plus Agency FAQ

What does a Shopify Plus agency do?

It builds or runs stores on the Plus plan: replatforming, theme and checkout work, custom apps and Functions, ERP integrations, conversion work and support. Some of that work, such as custom Functions apps, runs only on Plus.

How much does a Shopify Plus agency cost?

Few print a price. Netalico gives $30,000 to $200,000 or more for projects, Ask Phill gives 20,000 to 200,000 euros or more by scope, and Human After All starts a B2B launch at C$20,000. Shopify’s own fee of $2,300 a month on a 3 year USD term is separate.

Is the Shopify Plus Partner program still active?

Not as a permanent label. Shopify’s documentation has the Select, Plus and Premier tiers ending on 1 January 2027 in favour of Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond. Until then the current tiers stand.

How long does a Shopify Plus migration take?

Shopify’s enterprise blog puts the average at three to four months from kickoff to launch. Agencies state from 4 to 6 weeks for a native B2B launch to 12 to 24 weeks for a full migration.

Do I need Shopify Plus for B2B?

Not always. Shopify lists B2B on every plan from Basic. Unlimited catalogs and direct catalog assignment to company locations are Plus only.

Is headless commerce only for Shopify Plus?

No. Hydrogen does not require Plus. Plus raises the number of headless storefronts from one to up to 25.

What replaced checkout.liquid and Scripts on Shopify Plus?

Checkout extensibility and Shopify Functions. Shopify’s enterprise blog says checkout.liquid was sunset on 28 August 2025, and Scripts stopped running on 30 June 2026.

Can I hire a Shopify Plus agency before I am on Plus?

Yes. Any agency can scope a build on a standard plan, and several quote for the move itself. A specialist matters once the project uses a Plus-only feature.
